The Balkans meet Havana. The region's only contemporary original salsa band, Afro-Caribbean music woven with Balkan melodies, played on dance floors from Colombia to New York.
The idea was born in Croatia in 2014, and it took five years for FiloSofía to form its current lineup. The name blends philosophy with the name of vocalist Sofía, a perfect reflection of an intellectual approach to music.
The band is celebrated in the cradles of salsa, Colombia and New York, with music broadcast on radio stations and dance floors worldwide. FiloSofía is a unique blend of Afro-Caribbean traditions and Balkan musical character, the only such contemporary original salsa band in the region.
